Supported Employment
We provide the necessary support to help individuals access open employment, offering them the stepping stones they need to succeed.
Stepping Stones
At Stepping Stones, we offer two key services: vocational services and supported employment contracts. Through our supported employment program, we are committed to securing meaningful employment for our clients, ensuring they work a minimum of five hours per week and earn at least the minimum wage.
In alignment with Atāwhai’s trust deed, we support individuals with intellectual or learning disabilities, providing them with a crucial stepping stone towards greater independence and inclusion in the workforce. Being part of Atāwhai allows us to build strong connections with our clients, the community, local employers, and our dedicated team.
Our support extends beyond job placement—we assist clients throughout the entire employment process, from interview preparation to ongoing workplace support. By maintaining close relationships with both clients and employers, we ensure the best possible job fit, promoting long-term success.
We are always seeking more employers to partner with us in creating inclusive and supportive work environments. If you are an employer interested in making a difference, we would love to hear from you.
